Resumo: This work aims to study the scenario of violence in the rural area of the city of Guarapuava / Paraná in the year 1930, through the analysis of criminal proceedings of homicide crime. I’ve made use of the records in the case-file to understand the discourses, legal practices, the power relations and how they are found in the construction of the inquiry, and after the process, perceiving the influence in the decisions pronounced by the Court, where the sentences condemned or acquitted the defendant and issues that can make a process prescribe. In this context, I’ve noticed the newspaper's performance as power of repression in the legal system, demanding action to preserve the good development of society, being able to understand that the actions of the legal system on the homicide crimes of the year 1930 were judged during the decade of 1930, and portrayed normative questions without the real decision in condemning the defendant and ending the process.

Foram utilizados os registros presentes nos autos para compreender os discursos, as práticas jurídicas e as relações de poder e como estas são encontradas na construção do inquérito e posterior no processo, percebendo a influência nas decisões proferidas pelo Tribunal do Júri, bem como questões que faziam um processo prescrever.
