Resumo: | The loss of cellulose fiber is about 1 to 3% of all fibers used in the paper production process. Part of these fibers can return to the process if it is associated with the paper machine some sort of fibers recovery. The clear water effluent studied in this research is the result of a primary treatment white water through the filter disc equipment of a paper machine. It was investigated in this research, the use of dissolved air flotation (DAF) in order recovery the fiber in the effluent clear water, generated in the production of two types of paper. We evaluated the influence of parameters: cationic polymer dosage (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 mg/L), flotation rate (18 and 9 cm/min) and clear water effluent of two types of paper (print and gloss). Data were statistically analyzed using a factorial arrangement 6 x 2 x 2 - completely randomized design (CRD). The results indicate that the process of FAD in the optimized conditions with a dosage of 1 mg / L and cationic polymer flotation velocity of 18 cm / min has proved to be a viable alternative for the removal of suspended solids (fibers), total solids, color, turbidity and COD of the studied effluent with removal efficiencies of 99%, 25.5%, 98% and 48.5% respectively in the clear water effluent from the paper gloss and 92.9% removal of TSS, 42.7% of ST, 73% of color, 97% of turbidity, COD removal did not occur in the case of effluent clear water of the print paper. |

Made available in DSpace on 2016-09-20T12:30:00Z (GMT).
