Notifications of interpersonal / self-inflicted violence at the XII Regional Health of Pernambuco

The study aimed to describe the profile of cases of notification of interpersonal and self-harm in the XII Regional Health of Pernambuco. This is a descriptive, prevalent study with a quantitative approach. The data were collected in TABNET / DATASUS considering the period from 2014 to 2018. The results show the female figure from 20 to 29 years old as the main victim of violence, the majority domestic domestic scope of violence, mainly within family and emotional relationships. As for the male sex, young people aged 15 to 19 years are the most affected and in the public space violence predominates, with unknown perpetrators. In both sexes, there were no relevant disparities in the criteria of education, race and type of violence, physical, psychological and self-inflicted violence prevailed, the victims were brown people with incomplete primary education. It is hoped that the research will contribute to visualize how violence is expressed in the territory.
