Resumo: This article aims to expose the implications of Fake News and Disinformation in the relationship of individuals with the truth, as well as their dissemination and circulation strategies. To this end, we chose Michel Foucault's indications about the regime of “veridition” and political economy of truth, as a reference to the debate on the notion of truth in modernity. The method used is that of bibliographic research, due to the simultaneous nature of the phenomenon, whose development of research about it is still quite initial. The text, in addition to introduction and final remarks, is organized from the following points: conceptualization of Fake News and Disinformation; presentation of the notion of  ‘regime of veridition”, from Michel Foucault; problematizing the relationship between the phenomenon of disinformation and the political economy of truth; characterization of Disinformation and, also, presentation of disinformation strategies as confirmation bias, monetization and zero rating.
