Resumo: This article presents results of a study that deals with teaching unionism in higher education of public universities in Paraná. Its purpose is to discuss the teaching unionism in higher education and to present the union sections of ANDES-SN that work in the seven public universities of the State. In order to meet the proposed objectives, a comprehensive bibliographic review was carried out on academic works that have higher education teaching unionism as the focus of study; empirical incursions into the reality of each union were also carried out in order to reconstruct the historical trajectory and current elements of these organizations in the State of Paraná. As main results, the structuring and consolidation of this organizational movement were verified in the 1990s, which still persists in full operation today in all states institutes of Paraná high education system.

Tem por finalidade discutir o sindicalismo docente no ensino superior e apresentar as seções sindicais do ANDES-SN que atuam nas sete universidades públicas estaduais do Estado. Para atendimento aos objetivos propostos foi feita uma abrangente revisão bibliográfica nos trabalhos acadêmicos que tem o sindicalismo docente do ensino superior como foco de estudo; foram realizadas ainda incursões empíricas junto à realidade de cada sindicato, mediante a pesquisa documental e entrevistas semiestruturadas, de modo a reconstruir a trajetória histórica e elementos atuais dessas organizações no Estado do Paraná.
