Resumo: This article presents how the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) has been organized and acted to create production alternatives as opposed to the agribusiness model, which we understand as an expression of neoliberalism in the countryside. Based on a bibliographical review, we demonstrate how neoliberalism in its most current facet, intensifies the social relations of rural production, characterized by land concentration and social inequality, even modifying these characteristics, making them more intense and, in turn, more functional to capital. We demonstrate, therefore, that the construction of production, commercialization and financing alternatives, exemplified by some experiences put into practice by peasants organized in the MST in recent years, are fundamental for the permanence of the peasantry dignified in the countryside.
