Resumo: This article aims to analyze the relationship between the professional secrecy of social workers and the work mediated by the so-called information and communication technologies (ICTs), in order to identify new challenges regarding professional ethics. It is a field research, with a qualiquantitative emphasis. With regard to data collection techniques, the questionnaire was used. For analysis we use the content analysis technique. One of the conclusions points out that although the professionals in most cases indicate the possibility of secrecy, in remote work it is not possible to guarantee it.
