Resumo: | This paper presents some results of the case study that encompassed Brazilian cities located in the border with Uruguay and Argentina, all three countries are Mercosul members. The study was based on documentary research and on the Situational Diagnosis Method and aimed at analyzing how social protection to workers’ health is provided as a necessary movement to the broadening and the consolidation of citizenship. Nineteen people were interviewed. The results indicate, among other aspects, workers and health managers’ lack of information about workers’ health policy and the increase in informal work as a result of economic integration. |
