Resumo: | This article examines the redefined meanings that underlie the relationship between international migrations, their confluences, and tensions in the field of rights. It employs a literature review and delves into historical insights with the aim of critically addressing the elaborate rationalities that silence the structures of discrimination embedded in classificatory lexicography and the paradoxical nature of ideopolitical language found in migration legislations organized by the national States, which yield disparate repercussions in the field of rights. It is concluded that the lack of analysis and understanding regarding the significance and socio-historical and political meaning attributed to international migrations, as well as the ways in which migrants are categorized or differentiated have an impact on the lives and destinies of the migrant population. This reveals the paradoxical nature of meanings present in both the universe and materiality of discursive practices, as well as in legal-normative frameworks and related regulations that guide the actions of governments and state policies. |

This reveals the paradoxical nature of meanings present in both the universe and materiality of discursive practices, as well as in legal-normative frameworks and related regulations that guide the actions of governments and state policies.
