Intimate violence is a complex reality crossed by psychological, ideological and sociocultural factors. This study aimed to discuss violence between intimate partners of the same sex as a phenomenon that has its own characteristics and double invisibility. This is an investigation with a qualitative and exploratory approach, which used the systematic review method to compile and analyze data from existing research on violence in same-sex relationships published from January 2006 to April 2021 in the national context . A total of 532 studies were found, 22 of which were selected for analysis. The results allowed an understanding from three perspectives: the understanding of situations in which domestic violence occurs between homosexual couples; Consequences of violence and Support network as a coping strategy. It is concluded that this research made it possible to raise discussions held in the last 15 years and allowed us to understand the invisibility of this phenomenon.
