Violence against children and adolescents in the annex of the Guardianship Council in the District of Casa de Tábua, Santa Maria das Barreiras/Pará

Children and adolescents daily are victims of violence and regardless of type the damage is immeasurable. Knowing the typology of a given geographical area is fundamental to outline intervention measures. In this sense, the article aimed to analyze the reports of violence against children/adolescents in the annex of the Tutelary Council in the district of Casa de Tábua/PA, between the years 2015 and 2020. Data from the guardianship board not identified with personal information were used. After descriptive statistical analysis, it was observed that of the 43 reported cases, 24 (56%) were related to sexual abuse, 10 (23%) beating, 8 (19%) abandonment and 1 (2%) to grooming.  The adolescents were more affected than the children and the adolescents were more than the boys and that 79% of the abuses occurred in the residence. The results show the need to promote preventive measures that will curb these practices.
