Resumo: A política tecnológica faz parte central da agenda econômica nos países desenvolvidos e dos emergentes, visando gerar capacidade tecnológica e motivar investimentos privados. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o reflexo das políticas de incentivo à inovação no desempenho financeiro das empresas do setor automobilístico listadas na Brasil, Bolsa e Balcão (B3). A pesquisa descritiva, de natureza quali-quantitativa, realizou coleta de dados na base da Economática®, nos sites das empresas e da B3. Este estudo enfatiza as ações inovativas realizadas pelas empresas do setor automotivo, no período em que vigoram políticas de incentivo à inovação, e a perspectiva das inovações provocarem reflexos no desempenho financeiro. Sugere-se que (i) a Lei do Bem, o Plano de Ação em Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (PACTI) e o Plano de Desenvolvimento Produtivo (PDP) trouxeram reflexos favoráveis para os Índices de Liquidez da Iochpe, (ii) a Lei do Bem teve uma representação significativa nos Índices de Estrutura de Capital da Iochpe e nos Índices de Liquidez da Mahle, e (iii) o Plano Brasil Maior (PBM) favoreceu o aumento no Capital Investido da Mahle. O estudo pode contribuir para incentivar gestores e orientar as empresas a aderir às políticas de inovação quando cientes dos potenciais benefícios que ela traz para a organização e demais stakeholders, podendo gerar melhores resultados. Palavras-chave: Inovação; Políticas de Incentivo à Inovação; Demonstrações Contábeis; Setor Automotivo.  Abstract: Technological policy is a central part of the economic agenda in developed and emerging countries, aiming to generate technological capacity and motivate private investments. The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of innovation incentive policies on the financial performance of companies in the automobile sector listed on Brazil, Bolsa and Balcão (B3). The descriptive research, of a quali-quantitative nature, carried out data collection on the basis of Economática®, on the websites of the companies and B3. This study emphasizes the innovative actions carried out by companies in the automotive sector, during the period in which policies to encourage innovation are in force, and the perspective of innovations causing reflexes on financial performance. It is suggested that (i) the Lei do Bem, the Action Plan in Science, Technology and Innovation (PACTI) and the Productive Development Plan (PDP) brought favorable effects to Iochpe's Liquidity Indices, (ii) the Lei do Bem had a significant representation in Iochpe’s Capital Structure Indices and in Mahle’s Liquidity Indices, and (iii) the Plano Brasil Maior (PBM) favored the increase in Mahle’s Invested Capital. The study can help to encourage managers and guide companies to adhere to innovation policies when aware of the potential benefits it brings to the organization and other stakeholders, which can generate better results. Keywords: Innovation; Innovation Incentive Policies; Accounting Statements; Automotive Industry.
