Exploring the concept of magnetism with students of Licentiate in Pedagogy e-Learning of the Federal University of Alagoas: reflexions about the uses of didactical experiments on teaching of Nature's Sciences in Initial Years of Basic Education

Resumo: This paper analyzes the implementation of a teaching strategy for the promotion of experimental activities involving various concepts of magnetism by means of a workshop for teachers in training using low-cost kits. The proposed instructional sequence suggested teachers overcoming Traditional Pedagogy in favor of a subject-centered approach valuing their reflective processes in science classes, improving their knowledge with regard to the teaching of physics giving the possibility of developing the active participation of students favoring the formulation of hypotheses, analysis of the ideas and arguments of contextualization. As a result, we found that it was possible to provide the student with the concept of the magnetic properties of the magnet, from conducting experimental activities.

O presente trabalho analisa a aplicação de uma estratégia didática destinada à promoção de atividades experimentais envolvendo diversos conceitos de magnetismo por meio de uma oficina para os professores em formação utilizando kits de baixo custo. A sequência didática proposta sugeriu aos professores a superação da Pedagogia Tradicional em favor de uma abordagem centrada no sujeito valorizando seus processos reflexivos em aulas de Ciências, aprimorando seus conhecimentos no que diz respeito ao Ensino de Física dando a possibilidade de desenvolver a participação ativa dos alunos favorecendo na formulação de hipóteses, na análise das ideias e na contextualização dos argumentos. Como resultado, observamos que foi possível propiciar ao aluno a conceituação das propriedades magnéticas do ímã, a partir da realização de atividades experimentais.
