Learning objects evaluation: a practical tool for Statistics Teaching

Resumo: The present article aims to present the development and application of an instrument to evaluate the characteristics and technical and pedagogical aspects of Learning Objects (OA) in order to verify whether these resources are suitable for use in the classroom. For the development of the instrument, we searched for bibliographic research, evaluation methods of OA, already existing, as well as studies of the methodologies of development of these educational resources, which resulted in a new instrument, called "Digital OA evaluation form". The applicability and effectiveness of this form was validated through the evaluation of the OA "Statistical Research in Daily Life", an object aimed at teaching statistics, made available in the MEC OA repository. We observed, based on the results obtained, the need and importance of evaluating OA available in repositories, to certify the quality and adequacy of their use in the classroom. We emphasize that the evaluation of OA based on the elaborated form, allowed a broad and detailed view of the object, highlighting the critical view of the authors and emphasizing the positive characteristics presented by the digital educational resource and its suitability for the introduction of the concepts of Statistics in the educational process.

Para o desenvolvimento do instrumento, buscamos, em pesquisas bibliográficas, métodos avaliativos de OA já existentes, bem como em estudos das metodologias de desenvolvimento desses recursos educacionais, os quais resultaram em um novo instrumento, denominado "Ficha de avaliação de OA digital". A aplicabilidade e eficácia dessa ficha foi validada por meio da avaliação do OA “Pesquisas Estatísticas no Dia a Dia”, um objeto voltado para o ensino de estatística, disponibilizado no repositório de OA do MEC. Observamos, a partir dos resultados obtidos, a necessidade e importância da avaliação dos OA disponíveis em repositórios para atestar a qualidade e a adequação do uso desses em sala de aula.
