Bryophyte cultivating in the laboratorial as didactic resource to the Botany teaching

Resumo: | Based on experiences occurred in the classroom it was observed that only the description of the characteristics of a plant group is not enough for effective learning of students. When using botanical materials that classroom becomes more dynamic and interesting and the student is an active participation in the learning process. This work deals to develop a method of cultivation and maintenance of bryophytes in laboratory as a didactic resource for teaching Botany in high school. Samples of two species of mosses were gathered and cultivated in an aquarium with substrate a coconut fiber layer covered with topsoil. The tank was placed in the laboratory and the substrate was kept constantly wet. It was found that in the first month of development occurred loss of freshness landing two samples and no growth was observed. Attach this fact to Habitat conversion, because after adaptation, there was freshness recovery and the beginning of growth. The results showed that the bryophytes are easily grown in laboratory plants and if the teacher has time to make the cultivation, has a didactic material useful for developing its practical classes. |

Quando se utilizam materiais botânicos verifica-se que a aula torna-se mais dinâmica e interessante e o estudante passa a ter uma participação ativa no processo de aprendizagem. Este trabalho teve como proposta desenvolver um método de cultivo e manutenção de briófitas em laboratório como recurso didático para o ensino de Botânica no Ensino Médio. Amostras de duas espécies de musgos foram coletadas e cultivadas em um aquário tendo como substrato uma camada de fibra de coco recoberta com terra vegetal. O aquário foi colocado no laboratório e o substrato foi mantido constantemente úmido. Verificou-se que no primeiro mês de desenvolvimento ocorreu a perda do viço inicial das duas amostras e nenhum crescimento foi observado. Atribuímos este fato à mudança de habitat, pois decorrido esse período de adaptação, houve recuperação do viço e o início do crescimento.
