STS focus about the Information and Communication Technologies on the development of Angola

Resumo: | This paper aims at developing a systematic analysis on the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Distance Learning in the development of Angola. Currently Angola as one of the most important African countries, the protagonist of the African Union (AU), is in extensive development and rebuilding themselves socially, economically and politically. In the process, Education becomes essential and, together with a proposal to insert through the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), proceeds to the achievement of a future process where science and technology apply in favor of a society, a real action CTS. In this effort we analyzed the most sensitive aspects of the Angolan reality, trying to identify the main points that require dependence on imports in the ICT sector, were also exposed fundamental strategies and initiatives for the implementation of an ICT industry in Angola. It also presented the main center of the Angolan Network for Distance Learning (NDL) and its major partners. And as a proposed application, was taken into consideration the statement of partnership between Southern Cross University and the University Agostinho Neto (UAN) for Distance Education. |

Atualmente Angola, como um dos mais importantes países africanos, protagonista da União Africana (UA), se encontra em amplo desenvolvimento e reconstruindo-se social, econômica e politicamente. Nesse processo, a Educação torna-se elemento essencial e, aliada a uma proposta de inserção por intermédio das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TICs), prossegue para a conquista de um futuro, processo onde a Ciência e Tecnologia se aplicam em benefício de uma sociedade, uma verdadeira ação CTS. Neste esforço foram analisados os aspectos mais sensíveis da realidade angolana, procurando identificar os principais pontos que demandam a dependência de importações no setor das TICs, foram expostas também as iniciativas e estratégias fundamentais para a implementação de uma indústria das TICs na República de Angola. Foi apresentado também o centro principal da rede angolana de Ensino à Distância (EAD) e seus principais parceiros.
