Dialogues between Popular, Scientific and School Knowledge and its Contributions to the Teaching of Chemistry from a Sociocultural Theme

Resumo: This article stems from an excerpt from the first author's dissertation, defended in 2021, which aimed to promote dialogue between popular, scientific and school knowledge through a pedagogical intervention based on a sociocultural theme, using the culture of cactus forage. (Opuntia ficus indica) and the knowledge of the community regarding the use of this culture. It was, therefore, participatory research with a qualitative approach. The study was carried out in the municipality of Soledad-PB in 2019, and had the participation of 4 farmers, 63 students from two classes of the 3rd grade of High School (EM) and 1 Geography teacher. The data collection instrument was based on the application of two questionnaires, containing open and closed questions presented to the research participants. In view of the results obtained, the importance of dialogues between knowledge and practices with the culture of forage palm was evident.

Se trató, por tanto, de una investigación participativa con enfoque cualitativo. El estudio se realizó en el municipio de Soledade-PB en 2019, y contó con la participación de 4 agricultores, 63 alumnos de dos clases del 3º grado de la Enseñanza Media (EM) y 1 profesor de Geografía. El instrumento de recolección de datos se basó en la aplicación de dos cuestionarios, con preguntas abiertas y cerradas, presentados a los participantes de la investigación. Ante los resultados obtenidos, se evidenció la importancia de los diálogos entre saberes y prácticas con el cultivo de la palma forrajera.Este artigo é decorrente de um recorte da dissertação da primeira autora, defendida no ano de 2021, a qual objetivou promover diálogos entre os saberes populares, científicos e escolares através de uma intervenção pedagógica a partir de uma temática sociocultural, utilizando a cultura da palma forrageira (Opuntia ficus indica) e os conhecimentos da comunidade a respeito do uso desta cultura. Tratou-se, desse modo, de uma pesquisa participante com abordagem qualitativa. O estudo foi realizado no município de Soledade-PB em 2019, e contou com a participação de 4 agricultores, 63 estudantes de duas turmas da 3ª série do Ensino Médio (EM) e 1 professora de Geografia. O instrumento de coleta de dados partiu da aplicação de dois questionários, contendo questões abertas e fechadas apresentadas aos participantes da pesquisa.
