Mobilization of attitudes and feelings of undergraduate students in Chemistry during the elaboration of problems

Resumo: Experiences with the methodology of problem solving, during the initial training of chemistry teachers, can be important for the teacher preparation of these professionals, enabling them to practice a chemistry teaching close to the reality of the students, promoting the development of conceptual, procedimental and attitudinal contents. This study aimed to analyze the process of elaboration of problems by graduates in chemistry, paying attention to feelings and mobilization of attitudes during the elaboration of the problem. The feelings were identified through statements and submitted to narrative analysis through hermeneutic composition, to define categories of feelings. The mobilization of attitudes was analyzed from the elaboration of the problems and associated with possible attitudes developed through resolution. Attitudes were categorized with respect to science, science learning and the social implications of science. In general, the feelings revealed a satisfaction in the process of elaborating problems and the graduates showed different attitudes in the problems elaborated. Thus, we believe that the contact of the undergraduates with the problem solving methodology, during graduation, can provide intentions for a possible application of this approach in their future teaching practice.

Este estudo objetivou analisar o processo de elaboração de problemas por licenciandos em química, atentando para os sentimentos e a mobilização de atitudes durante a elaboração do problema. Os sentimentos foram identificados através de depoimentos e submetidos a análise narrativa por meio da composicionalidade hermenêutica, para definição de categorias de sentimentos. A mobilização de atitudes foi analisada a partir da elaboração dos problemas e associadas a possíveis atitudes desenvolvidas mediante a resolução. As atitudes foram categorizadas com respeito à ciência, à aprendizagem da ciência e às implicações sociais da ciência. De forma geral, os sentimentos revelaram uma satisfação no processo de elaborar problemas e os licenciandos evidenciaram diferentes atitudes nos problemas elaborados.
