Resumo: | Teaching zoology requires the application of didactic-pedagogical resources to keep the students interested in face of the extensive content. The study aimed to report the experience of using a planarian terrarium by the monitors and students of the Unicellular Organisms and Non-Coelomate Metazoans discipline of the Biological Sciences course of the Federal University of Paraíba, as a didactic-pedagogical resource to facilitate the teaching-learning process. The terrarium was applied in the practical classes on Phylum Platyhelminthes during the semesters 2018.2 and 2019.1, to five classes. During monitoring of the terrarium, different planarians behaviors were observed, such as sexual reproduction, which has scientific relevance, although little observed and described in the specialized literature. The application of the terrarium promoted a greater understanding about the flatworms by observing, investigating, and describing the morphological and the behavioral aspects of these animals, stimulating the scientific curiosity in students, and contributing to the training of future Sciences and Biology teachers. |

En este contexto, este estudio reporta la experiencia del uso de un terrario de planarias por parte de monitores y estudiantes de la disciplina Organismos Unicelulares y Metazoos No-Coelomados del curso de Ciencias Biológicas, de la Universidade Federal de Paraíba, como recurso didáctico-pedagógico para favorecer el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. El terrario se aplicó en las clases prácticas del Filo Platyhelminthes durante los semestres académicos 2018.2 y 2019.1, para cinco clases. Durante el seguimiento del terrário se observaron diferentes comportamientos de las planarias, como la reproducción sexual, que tiene relevancia científica, aunque poco observado y descrito en la literatura. La aplicación del terrario promovió una mayor comprensión de los gusanos planos a través de la observación, investigación y descripción de los aspectos morfológicos y de comportamiento de estos animales, estimulando la curiosidad científica en los estudiantes, y contribuyendo a la formación de los futuros profesores de Ciencias y Biologia.O ensino de zoologia requer a aplicação de recursos didático-pedagógicos para manter os discentes interessados diante conteúdos extensos. Nesse contexto, este estudo relata a experiência da utilização de um terrário de planárias pelos monitores e discentes da disciplina Organismos Unicelulares e Metazoários Não Celomados, do curso de Ciências Biológicas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, como recurso didático-pedagógico para favorecer o processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O terrário foi aplicado nas aulas práticas do Filo Platyhelminthes, durante os semestres letivos 2018.2 e 2019.1, para cinco turmas, tanto da modalidade bacharelado quanto licenciatura. Durante o monitoramento do terrário, foram observados diversos comportamentos das planárias, como a reprodução sexuada que possui relevância científica, apesar de pouco observada e descrita na literatura.
