Extraterrestrial life in Physics Teaching: an investigation in the educational context

Resumo: This work proposes to verify the Extraterrestrial Life and Astrobiology theme in some official documents such as the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN+), Minas Gerais Common Basic Curriculum (CBC Mineiro) and the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC), with reference to Physics from highschool. The knowledge of students on the topic of Extraterrestrial Life and Astrobiology was also researched, through a questionnaire applied in four state schools in Minas Gerais. The survey was carried out in the second year of high school, with a total of 82 participants. The analysis of responses was based on content analysis techniques. It was verified in the documental analysis that in PCN+ and BNCC, the Extraterrestrial Life and Astrobiology themes are mandatory, but in CBC Mineiro these contents are not addressed. Despite being a topic recommended by official documents, there was a need for more educational research and publications in congresses and journals exploring this content.

También se investigó el conocimiento de los estudiantes sobre el tema de Vida Extraterrestre y Astrobiología, a través de un cuestionario aplicado en cuatro escuelas públicas de Minas Gerais. La encuesta se realizó en segundo año de bachillerato, con un total de 82 participantes. El análisis de las respuestas se basó en técnicas de análisis de contenido. Se constató en el análisis documental que en PCN + y BNCC los temas de Vida Extraterrestre y Astrobiología son obligatorios, pero en CBC Mineiro no se cubren estos contenidos. A pesar de ser un tema recomendado por documentos oficiales, existía la necesidad de más investigaciones educativas y publicaciones en congresos y revistas que exploraran este contenido.Este trabalho tem como proposta verificar a temática Vida Extraterrestre e Astrobiologia em alguns documentos oficiais como os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN), Currículo Básico Comum de Minas Gerais (CBC Mineiro) e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), tendo como referência a Física do Ensino Médio. Pesquisou-se também o conhecimento dos estudantes sobre o tema Vida Extraterrestre e Astrobiologia, por meio de um questionário aplicado em quatro escolas estaduais de Minas Gerais. A pesquisa foi realizada no segundo ano do Ensino Médio, somando um total de 82 participantes. A análise das respostas fundamentou-se nas técnicas de análise de conteúdo. Verificou-se na análise documental que nos PCN e na BNCC, os temas Vida Extraterrestre e Astrobiologia são obrigatórios, porém no CBC Mineiro esses conteúdos não são abordados.
