Augmented Reality and CTS: a possible and necessary association

Resumo: The article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) through Bibliometrics, which aimed to investigate how Augmented Reality (AR) is applied in the teaching of geometry in secondary schools. The RSL was based on the Portal of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education (CAPES), in which key words were established, as well as the period of time that was considered (2018 - 2020). The overall aim was to find work on Augmented Reality and understand the contributions of the CTS (Science, Society and Technology) approach. A total of one hundred and forty-seven theses and dissertations were found, only seven of which dealt directly with Augmented Reality and the teaching of Spatial Geometry. The results show that there is a large gap in the number of studies on AR for geometry teaching, thus highlighting the importance of using a CTS approach in math teaching.

La RSL se basó en el Portal de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación para el Mejoramiento de la Educación Superior (CAPES), en el cual se establecieron palabras clave, así como el periodo de tiempo que se consideró (2018 - 2020). El objetivo general fue encontrar trabajos sobre Realidad Aumentada y conocer los aportes del enfoque CTS (Ciencia, Sociedad y Tecnología). Se encontró un total de ciento cuarenta y siete tesis y disertaciones, de las cuales sólo siete trataban directamente de la Realidad Aumentada y la enseñanza de la Geometría Espacial. Los resultados muestran que existe un gran vacío en el número de estudios sobre RA para la enseñanza de la geometría, lo que pone de relieve la importancia de utilizar un enfoque CTS en la enseñanza de las matemáticas.O artigo apresenta uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (RSL) através da Bibliometria, que visou investigar de que forma a Realidade Aumentada (RA) é aplicada no ensino de geometria no Ensino médio. A RSL teve como base de dados o Portal de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Nível Superior (CAPES), no qual foram estabelecidas palavras chaves, bem como o período que foi considerado (2018 – 2020). O objetivo geral é encontrar trabalhos sobre Realidade Aumentada e compreender as contribuições da abordagem CTS (Ciência, Sociedade e Tecnologia). Foi encontrado um total de cento e quarenta e sete trabalhos entre teses e dissertações, sendo que apenas sete versavam diretamente sobre Realidade Aumentada e ensino de Geometria Espacial.
