Technoscience, neoliberal governance and education: analysis of statements by graduates from a technical course

Resumo: | The article discusses the effects of technoscience linked to neoliberal governmentality in the qualification of agricultural technicians of IFRS-Sertão. The research material consists of interviews with four graduates enrolled in the technical course in agriculture and livestock integrated to high school in that institution. In methodological terms, the research conducted is qualitative, and the data were scrutinized from the perspective of discourse analysis, as proposed by Michel Foucault. The analysis of the interviews showed that technoscience: a) is a form of exercise of neoliberal governmentality b) supported by certain truths that lead students to admit that this can lead them to achieve excellent placements in the agricultural labor market. Finally, the study concludes that the technical course allows students to acknowledge that technoscience can lead them to success in their professional life and for this, continuity in studies is essential. |

El material de la investigación consiste en entrevistas realizadas a cuatro egresados del Curso Técnico en Ciencias Agropecuarias Integrado a la Educación Secundaria de esa institución. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, se ha llevado a cabo una investigación cualitativa, en la que los datos se han examinado desde la perspectiva del análisis del discurso, tal y como propone Michel Foucault. El análisis de las entrevistas mostró que la tecnociencia: a) es una forma de ejercer la gubernamentalidad neoliberal; b) sustentada en ciertas verdades, gobierna a los estudiantes para admitir que es lo que puede llevarlos a conseguir excelentes colocaciones en el mercado laboral agrícola. Por último, se concluye que el mencionado Curso Técnico lleva a los alumnos a admitir que la tecnociencia es lo que les puede llevar al éxito en su vida profesional y que, para ello, la continuidad de los estudios es importante.O artigo problematiza os efeitos da tecnociência vinculada à governamentalidade neoliberal na formação do Técnico Agrícola do IFRS-Sertão. O material de pesquisa é constituído por entrevistas realizadas com quatro egressos do Curso Técnico em Agropecuária Integrado ao Ensino Médio da referida instituição. Em termos metodológicos foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, sendo os dados escrutinados na perspectiva da análise do discurso, como proposta por Michel Foucault. O exame das entrevistas mostrou que a tecnociência: a) é uma forma de exercício da governamentalidade neoliberal; b) sustentada por determinadas verdades, governa os estudantes a admitir que é o que pode levá-los a conseguir excelentes colocações no mercado de trabalho agrícola.
