Resumo: In this work, results obtained in the focus group formed by children in literacy phase are analyzed, resulting from the action research (collaborative type) carried out in the professional master's degree. In the light of the cultural historical approach and mediated by didactic sequences, the teaching of reading proposed at school in order to foster meaningful practices. The objective is to understand the perception of the group about the initial teaching of reading via a pilot diagnosis, using the focus group as a reference. There are limitations with respect to reading, textual interpretation and orality, since children only understand explicit information, which points to superficial knowledge about the function of reading.

Se avalia, por medio de secuencias didácticas desde un abordaje cualitativo, la enseñanza de la lectura propuesta en la escuela para fomentar prácticas significativas. El objetivo es comprender la percepción de la clase sobre la enseñanza inicial de la lectura via diagnóstico piloto, teniendo como referencia el grupo focal. Fueron constatadas limitaciones con respecto a la leitura, interpretação textual e oralidade, ya que los niños solo comprenden informaciones explícitas, lo que aponta para el conocimiento superficial sobre la función de la lectura.Neste trabalho analisam-se resultados obtidos no grupo focal formado por crianças em fase de alfabetização, decorrentes da pesquisa ação (tipo colaborativa) realizada no mestrado profissional. Avalia-se, por meio de sequências didáticas numa abordagem quantitativa, o ensino da leitura proposto na escola no intuito de fomentar práticas significativas. O objetivo é compreender a percepção da turma sobre o ensino inicial da leitura via diagnóstico piloto, tendo como referência o grupo focal.
