Resumo: | The aim of this article is to contribute to general knowledge about the premiere of the first two seasons of the Théâtre Antoine in 1887. More precisely, it aims to look at the adaptation for the theater of the novel Sœur Philomène (1861), written by the brothers Edmond and Jules de Goncourt, made by Jules Vidal and Arthur Byl, and mounted on the premiere of its second season. The conditions under which this adaptation was produced, its circulation in France and its reception by theatrical critics in the press are thus questioned. This makes it possible to reconstruct, present and analyze the dynamics of tensions between different generations of agents active in the literary field and the performing arts field, who were engaged in the conception and establishment of the Théâtre Antoine. |

Más concretamente, se centra en la adaptación teatral de la novela Sœur Philomène (1861), escrita por los hermanos Edmond y Jules de Goncourt, realizada por Jules Vidal y Arthur Byl, y puesta en escena en el estreno de su segunda temporada. Se cuestionan así las condiciones de realización de esta adaptación, su circulación en Francia y su recepción por la crítica teatral en la prensa. Eso permite reconstruir, presentar y analizar la dinámica de tensiones entre las diferentes generaciones de agentes activos en la literatura y las artes escénicas que participaron en la concepción y creación del Théâtre Antoine.O objetivo deste artigo é contribuir para o conhecimento que se tem sobre a estreia das duas primeiras temporadas do Théâtre Antoine, em 1887, na França. Trata-se, mais precisamente, de voltar o olhar para a adaptação para o teatro do romance Sœur Philomène (1861), escrito pelos irmãos Edmond e Jules de Goncourt, feita por Jules Vidal e Arthur Byl, e montada na ocasião da estreia de sua segunda temporada. Interrogam-se, assim, as condições nas quais essa adaptação foi produzida assim como sua circulação e recepção junto à crítica teatral feita na imprensa.
