Scenography for Paraíso Zona Norte (Paradise North Side) and other Nelson Rodrigues’ plays

Resumo: J.C. Serroni entered the universe of the Brazilian playwright Nelson Rodrigues since he began his career as a set designer, back in the days of TV Cultura's teletheaters. With the famous director Antunes Filho, Serroni worked as set designer in several of Rodrigues’ plays, always in constant research of their scenic symbols, technical materials and forms of artistic production. Beside Eid Ribeiro and Gabriel Villela, he continued his creative work of studying this universe. In this essay, he recalls the scenographic solutions for the plays Álbum de Família (Family Album), Toda Nudez Será Castigada (All Nudity Shall Be Punished), Beijo no Asfalto (The Deceased Woman), Os Sete Gatinhos (The Seven Kittens) and Vestido de Noiva (Wedding Dress).

Al lado del director Antunes Filho, del CPT (Centro de Pesquisa Teatral) del Servicio Social del Comercio (Sesc-SP), Serroni encaró el montaje de varios textos rodrigueanos, con el espíritu de investigación permanente — de los signos escénicos, de los materiales técnicos y de las formas de producción artística. Al lado de Eid Ribeiro y Gabriel Villela, continuó con su trabajo creativo, en el estudio de este universo. En este relato, recuerda las soluciones escenográficas para Álbum de Família, Beijo no Asfalto (Beso en el asfalto), Os Sete Gatinhos (Los siete gatitos), Toda Nudez Será Castigada (Toda Desnudez Será Castigada) y Vestido de Noiva (Vestido de novia).J. C. Serroni adentrou o universo do dramaturgo Nelson Rodrigues desde que começou sua trajetória como cenógrafo, ainda nos tempos dos teleteatros da TV Cultura. Ao lado do diretor Antunes Filho, do CPT (Centro de Pesquisa Teatral) do Serviço Social do Comércio (Sesc-SP), Serroni encarou a montagem de vários textos rodrigueanos, em espírito de pesquisa permanente — dos signos cênicos, dos materiais técnicos e das formas de produção artística.
