Resumo: This article addresses so-called "body arts", covering discussions on performing arts, choreography and performance art, drafting a concept for the word "exhibit", proposing it as a measure for control levels on the exhibition and enjoyment of works on these fields. The hypothesis is that performance art, today, is the language in which the exhibition elements engender themselves best suited for what defines the word "exhibit". Transversally, it also addresses questions related to curating and exhibition design, paradigm changes on the presence of human body on arts and the creation of aesthetic meaning from the materiality of the very elements forming the artwork.

La hipótesis es que el arte de la performance es hoy el lenguaje en el que más se engendran los elementos expositivos con mayor adecuación en lo que concierne a lo que define el término "exhibir". De manera transversal también aborda temas relacionados con curadurías y expografías, cambios de paradigmas en la presencia del cuerpo en las artes y la producción de sentido estético por la materialidad de los elementos que constituyen la obra de arte.O presente texto trata das chamadas “artes do corpo”, abrangendo discussões das artes cênicas, coreográficas e da arte da performance, esboçando uma conceituação do termo “expor”, propondo-o como conceito que define graus de controle sobre a exibição e a fruição de obras de arte nestes gêneros. A hipótese é de que a arte da performance é hoje a linguagem na qual os elementos expositivos mais se engendram com melhor adequação no que concerne à definição do termo “expor”.
