Resumo: This article aims to describe the experience with deaf women and men in the city of Canavieiras, in the state of Bahia, during an embroidery course developed over three months. The course, which was an action designed for an institutional project in the area of ​​inclusive education of the Public Ministry of the State of Bahia, sought to present manual embroidery techniques as well as discuss local Afro-Brazilian culture. The experience as an art educator for deaf people was extremely important to understand how they absorb the teachings, how they express their learning and what they know about Afro-Brazilian culture. In this sense, a reflection will be presented on the potential of embroidery, from the perspective of art education, based on the relationship between the education of ethnic-racial relations and inclusive education for deaf students and, with this, pointing out new ways of teaching embroidery. embroidered with.

La experiencia como educadora de arte para personas sordas fue sumamente importante para comprender cómo absorben las enseñanzas, cómo expresan sus aprendizajes y qué saben sobre la cultura afrobrasileña. En este sentido, se presentará una reflexión sobre las potencialidades del bordado, desde la perspectiva de la educación artística, a partir de la relación entre la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales y la educación inclusiva para estudiantes sordos y, con ello, señalar nuevas formas de enseñanza del bordado bordado con.O presente artigo visa descrever a experiência vivenciada com mulheres e homens surdos da cidade de Canavieiras, no estado da Bahia, durante um curso de bordado desenvolvido ao longo de três meses. O curso, que foi uma ação elaborada para um projeto institucional na área da educação inclusiva do Ministério Público do Estado da Bahia, buscou apresentar as técnicas do bordado manual bem como dialogar sobre a cultura afro-brasileira local. Esta experiência com a comunidade surda canavieirense foi de suma importância para compreender como estas pessoas absorvem os ensinamentos, como expressam seus aprendizados e o que conhecem sobre o que é cultura afro-brasileira.
