Resumo: This study demonstrates the implementation of an interdisciplinary project in the field of fashion, focusing on the development of a baby layette collection involving 5th-period fashion students in the curricular components named Experiential Learning, specifically ABEX IV - Fashion Research and Creation, and ABEX V - Fashion Project. Titled "Self Love: Mommies and the baby's layette"," the pieces were intended for needy mothers, patients at the Regional Hospital of the West (HRO), through the Association of Volunteers of the Regional Hospital of the West (AVHRO). The theoretical aspect of this work involved concepts and foundations related to extension activities in the academic curriculum and the recognition of the social role of the fashion professional. In professional practice, the project provided students with insights into project methodology, pattern-making, and garment construction improvement practices. A total of 432 pieces were produced for the maternity kit and donated to AVHRO.

Intitulé "L'amour de soi : Petites mamans et la layette du bébé", les pièces étaient destinées aux mamans dans le besoin, patientes de l'Hôpital Régional de l'Ouest (HRO), par l'intermédiaire de l'Association des Volontaires de l'Hôpital Régional de l'Ouest (AVHRO). Sur le plan théorique, ce travail a impliqué des concepts et des fondements sur les actions d'extension dans le programme académique et la reconnaissance du rôle social du professionnel de la mode. Dans la pratique professionnelle, le projet a offert aux étudiants des approfondissements sur la méthodologie des projets, les pratiques d'amélioration de la modélisation et de la confection. 432 pièces ont été produites pour le trousseau de maternité et ont été données à l'AVHRO.Este estudo demonstra a realização de um projeto interdisciplinar no campo da moda, com foco no desenvolvimento de uma coleção de enxoval de bebê o qual envolveu estudantes do 5º período de moda nos componentes curriculares denominados Aprendizagem Baseada em Experiências, sendo a ABEX IV - Pesquisa e Criação de Moda e a ABEX V - Projeto de Moda. Denominado "AutoAmor: Mamãezinhas e o enxoval do bebê" as peças foram destinadas para mamães carentes, pacientes do Hospital Regional do Oeste (HRO), através da Associação de Voluntários do Hospital Regional do Oeste (AVHRO). No campo teórico o presente trabalho envolveu conceitos e fundamentos sobre ações extensionistas no currículo acadêmico e o reconhecimento do papel social do profissional de moda. Na prática profissional, o projeto proporcionou aos estudantes aprofundamentos sobre metodologia de projetos, práticas de aperfeiçoamento de modelagem e confecção.
