Resumo: The present study aims to analyze the existing connection between the clothing field and the memory field, identifying how the first mentioned area can act as a factor, both constructor and identity deconstructor. Initially, fundamental concepts are brought so that it is possible to discuss the subject, later, cases are presented that exemplify what was approached in a theoretical-conceptual way, such as pieces of clothing, currently preserved in museum institutions. The study is carried out by means of a bibliographic review and case study. Concluding that memory and identity are inseparable, and both can be modeled and remodeled just as clothing ismodeled on the body, it was understood that there is a direct link between the three concepts discussed here.

Dans un premier temps, des concepts fondamentaux sont introduits afin qu’il soit possible de discuter du sujet ; ensuite, des cas sont présentés qui illustrent ce qui a été abordé de manière théorico-conceptuelle, comme les vêtements, actuellement conservés dans les institutions muséales. L’étude est réalisée au moyen d’une revue bibliographique et d’une étude de cas. En concluant que la mémoire et l’identité sont inséparables, et que toutes deux peuvent être modelées et remodelées tout comme les vêtements sont modelés sur le corps, il a été compris qu’il existe un lien direct entre les trois concepts abordés ici.O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a ligação existente entre o campo do vestuário com o da memória, identificando como a primeira área mencionada pode agir sendo um fator, tanto construtor, quanto desconstrutor identitário. Inicialmente, são trazidos conceitos fundamentais para que seja possível discutir a temática, posteriormente, são apresentados casos que exemplifiquem o que foi abordado de forma teórico-conceitual, como peças de vestuário, atualmente, preservadas em instituições museológicas. O estudo dá-se por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica e estudo de caso.
