Resumo: This article aims to identify algorithmic applications in the area of fashion design, sincecurrently, the algorithms associated with automated procedures inherent to digital technologyare recognized. We also seek to understand its role in the composition of the creative workinvolved in fashion design, in addition to contributing to the search for creative solutions inproduct design. This research, in terms of its nature is applied, and as for its objectives, it isexploratory. The technical procedures used were the bibliographic research on the historyof the algorithms and their applications, in addition to experiments on manual creation oftextile textures developed based on algorithms. It is concluded that the use of algorithmsin the generation of textile textures is a creation tool that assists the process of the fashiondesigner, expanding the capacity of authorship and granting the character of manual artsin the design of fashion products.

También buscamos comprender su rol en lacomposición del trabajo creativo involucrado en el diseño de moda, además de contribuir ala búsqueda de soluciones creativas en el diseño de producto. Esta investigación, en cuantoa su naturaleza, es aplicada y en cuanto a sus objetivos es exploratoria. Los procedimientostécnicos utilizados fueron la investigación bibliográfica sobre la historia de los algoritmos y susaplicaciones, así como experimentos de creación manual de texturas textiles desarrolladosen base a algoritmos. Se concluye que el uso de algoritmos en la generación de texturastextiles es una herramienta de creación que ayuda al proceso del diseñador de moda,ampliando la capacidad de autoría y otorgando el carácter de artes manuales en el diseñode productos de moda.Este artigo tem como objetivo identificar aplicações algorítmicas na área do design de moda, pois, atualmente, reconhece-se os algoritmos associados a procedimentos automatizados inerentes à tecnologia digital. Buscamos, também, compreender o seu papel na composição do trabalho criativo envolvido no design de moda, além de contribuir na busca de soluções criativas na concepção de produtos. Esta pesquisa, quanto à sua natureza é aplicada e quanto aos seus objetivos é exploratória. Os procedimentos técnicos utilizados foram a pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a história dos algoritmos e as suas aplicações, além de experimentos de criação manual de texturas têxteis desenvolvidos com base em algoritmos.
