Resumo: For a dossier with the theme of “Details”, we will focus on details in works that deal with the figure of Saint Jerome, creating a visual narrative of the saint's life. The detail in the work, works in detail, the visual detail as a plastic element, with its minutiae, iconography and possible interpretation. What possible subliminal messages permeate the details, objects, scenery, elements that accompany the fascinating figure of this saint so observed by artists from such different times? What can this figure tell us even today? Based on authors who deal with the theme of details, from the images of Saint Jeronimo that appear in the Mnemosyne Atlas, it also discusses the identity of a reader and the possible interpretations of a work.

Le détail dans l'œuvre, le travail en détail, le détail visuel comme élément plastique, avec ses minuties, son iconographie et ses possibles interprétations. Quels messages subliminaux possibles imprègnent les détails, les objets, les décors, les éléments qui accompagnent la fascinante figure de ce saint si observé par les artistes d'époques si différentes ? Que peut nous dire votre chiffre encore aujourd'hui ? A partir d'auteurs qui traitent le thème du détail, à partir des images de saint Jérôme qui apparaissent dans l'Atlas Mnémosyne, il aborde aussi l'identité d'un lecteur et les interprétations possibles d'une œuvre. Em um dossiê com a temática de “Detalhes”, trataremos de detalhes em obras que se ocupam da figura de São Jerônimo, realizando uma narrativa visual da vida do santo. O detalhe na obra, obras em detalhe, o detalhe visual como elemento plástico, com suas minúcias, iconografia e possível interpretação. Que possíveis mensagens subliminares perpassam os detalhes, os objetos, o cenário, elementos que acompanham a figura fascinante deste santo tão observado por artistas de tempos tão diversos? O que sua figura pode nos dizer ainda hoje?
