Resumo: | The present work has aims to conceptualize historically the hybrid, highlighting the meanings attributed to it, and relate it to the work of Hieronymus Bosch. For the understanding of these relations, one must understand separately each element, so the article is divided into three parts: the concept of the hybrid, the life and work of Hieronymus Bosch and the analysis of one work by this artist. This brief image analysis makes evident the visions and connotations attributed to the hybrid since Ancient History. As research methodology, scientific books and articles about the topic were used, as well as the inventory and study of Bosch works. |

Para comprender estas relaciones, es necesario comprender cada elemento apartado, por lo tanto, el artículo está dividido en tres partes: el concepto de híbrido, la vida y obra de Hieronymus Bosch y el análisis de una obra de este artista. Este breve análisis de imagen evidencia las visiones y connotaciones atribuidas al híbrido desde la antigüedad. Como metodología de investigación, se utilizaron libros y artículos científicos que abordan el tema, además de la encuesta y el estudio de obras de Bosch.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo conceituar historicamente o híbrido, evidenciando as significações a ele atribuídas, e relacioná-lo com a obra de Hieronymus Bosch. Para a compreensão dessas relações, é preciso entender separadamente cada elemento, por isso, o artigo é dividido em três partes: o conceito de híbrido, a vida e obra de Hieronymus Bosch e análise de uma obra deste artista. Esta breve análise de imagem deixa evidente as visões e conotações atribuídas ao híbrido desde a Antiguidade.
