Performance: an interdisciplinary genre in contemporary art

Resumo: | In this article, we will approach performance art, a contemporary artistic genre that invests in crossing the borders between the arts, having the body as a working material. Emerging from the interarts urgency, from the interrelationships between the arts, from the combination and fusion of autonomous art genres, as an indisciplinary gesture, which configures the art of performance. To do so, we will briefly review the concept of performance that imply the broad notions of its studies and practices. In order to provoke a look at performative productions that take place in Brazil, peripheral and marginal, deinstitutionalized and or forgotten/erased in time by canonical narratives, we will compare some exponents of the genre of performance art, according to the history of western and hegemonic art. , some examples of performances, not considered and not legitimized in this context, which can be translated into performance art, from the revised conceptual premises. |

Surgido de la urgencia interartes, de las interrelaciones entre las artes, de la combinación y fusión de géneros artísticos autónomos, como gesto indisciplinario, que configura el arte de la performance. Para ello, revisaremos brevemente el concepto de performance que implica las nociones amplias de sus estudios y prácticas. Con el fin de provocar una mirada sobre las producciones performativas que ocurren en Brasil, periféricas y marginales, desinstitucionalizadas y/o olvidadas/borradas en el tiempo por las narrativas canónicas, compararemos algunos exponentes del género de la performance, según la historia de occidente y arte hegemónico, algunos ejemplos de performances, no consideradas y no legitimadas en este contexto, que pueden traducirse en performance art, a partir de las premisas conceptuales revisadas.Nesse artigo, abordaremos a arte da performance, gênero artístico contemporâneo que investe no cruzamento das fronteiras entre as artes, tendo o corpo como material de trabalho. Emergente da urgência interartes, das inter-relações entre as artes, da combinação e da fusão de gêneros autônomos da arte, como um gesto indisciplinar, que configura a arte da performance. Para tanto, faremos uma breve revisão do conceito de performance que implica nas amplas noções de seus estudos e práticas.
