Cartography of national research on OER: The teaching of mother and foreign languages

Resumo: This paper aims at contributing to a State of the Art regarding the Brazilian scientific research on Open Educational Resources (OER) in the context of teaching mother and foreign languages in the area of ​​Applied Linguistics (LA). The OERs are the result of an initiative inspired by the Free Software movement and enable teachers to reuse, review, readapt, redistribute, and retain resources according to specific licensing. The survey, from 2013 to 2020, was carried out through the CAPES Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and the CAPES Journal Database, considering journals with a B3 rating or higher. The results identify a modest scientific production, in which studies in the south region are predominant, followed by the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest regions of Brazil. Most of the research initiatives discuss the analysis of OER repositories, language learning, and social media. It was possible to identify a relationship between the research projects of the university’s graduate programs and the most common themes. Os REA são fruto de uma iniciativa inspirada na esteira do movimento Software Livre e possibilita a professores a reutilização, revisão, readaptação, redistribuição e retenção de recursos de acordo com o licenciamento específico. O levantamento de 2013 a 2020 foi realizado por meio da Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da CAPES e do Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, considerando periódicos com avaliação B3 ou superior. Os resultados identificam uma produção ainda modesta, com predominância de estudos na região sul, nordeste, sudeste e centro-oeste.
