Women in Brazilian Politics: a review of the literature of the last decade

Resumo: | This article deals with the participation of women in Brazilian politics. Based on the State of the Question literature review, we sought to examine the existing production in the last decade on the strategies, obstacles and opportunities for women's participation. Electronic Library Online – Scielo and Periodical Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – Capes Periodicals, texts related to the topic, describing the most relevant points covered, as well as the results achieved, and what are the advances and challenges of women in conquest policy, based on the researched literature. The results suggest an underrepresentation of women in politics, despite the advances achieved over the last centuries, the conquest of the vote, the right to be voted and positive discrimination policies, such as party quotas in elections. |

A partir da revisão bibliográfica do tipo Estado da Questão, buscou-se examinar a produção existente na última década sobre as estratégias, obstáculos e oportunidades à participação da mulher, para tanto, estabeleceu-se como objetivos específicos levantar junto às bases de conhecimento, Scientific Electronic Library Online – Scielo e Portal de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – Periódicos Capes, textos relacionados ao tema, descrevendo os pontos mais relevantes abordados, bem como os resultados alcançados, e quais os avanços e desafios das mulheres na conquista da política, a partir da literatura investigada.
