Resumo: The objective was to understand which and how the themes that permeate the scientific production of Revista Educação & Formação are discussed in its first four-year run (2016-2019). The research is of the State of the Art type and methodologically supported by the analysis of the content of a sample of texts published by this magazine - the most cited - which brought out four categories: “Teacher training”, “Teaching practices”, “History of Education ”And“ Critical analysis of educational issues ”. These were discussed, mostly, by scholars who interacted directly with the educational context or with education professionals. The analysis allows us to conclude that the Educação & Formação Magazine, despite its short existence, constitutes an important instrument for the dissemination of knowledge for this area of knowledge, primarily on teacher training, the scope of this journal.

A pesquisa é do tipo Estado da Arte e metodologicamente amparada pela análise do conteúdo de uma amostragem de textos publicados por essa revista – aqueles mais citados – que fez emergir quatro categorias: “Formação de professores”, “Práticas docentes”, “História da Educação” e “Análise crítica de assuntos educacionais”. Essas foram discutidas, majoritariamente, por estudiosos que interagiram diretamente com o contexto educativo ou com os profissionais da educação.
