Resumo: This article aims to present the project entitled "Stories of Appropriation: Research and Preservation in the Memorial of campus Venâncio Aires", developed by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul), on the campus of the city of Venâncio Aires, Rio Grande do Sul. More specifically, it is interesting to reflect on the potentialities of the project in relation to education, in the context of teaching, research and extension, in the context of Basic, Technical and Technological Education in the federal network. This analysis is permeated by the discussion of the notions and conceptions of history, memory and heritage, and how it is possible to intertwine current perspectives in a work with high school students.

Más específicamente, es interesante reflexionar sobre el potencial del proyecto en relación con la educación, en el ámbito de la enseñanza, la investigación y la extensión, en el contexto de la Educación Básica, Técnica y Tecnológica en la red federal. Este análisis está permeado por la discusión de las nociones y concepciones de la historia, la memoria y el patrimonio, y cómo es posible entrelazar las perspectivas actuales en un trabajo con estudiantes de secundaria.  O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar o projeto denominado “Apropriando Histórias: A Pesquisa e a Preservação no Memorial do IFSul Campus Venâncio Aires”, desenvolvido no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul), no câmpus da cidade de Venâncio Aires, Rio Grande do Sul. Mais especificamente, interessa refletir sobre as potencialidades do projeto em relação à educação, no âmbito do ensino, pesquisa e extensão, no contexto do Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico na rede federal.
