Resumo: | This article aims to highlight the consequences of the repressive apparatus of the Military Dictatorship at the Rangel Pestana Institute located in Baixada Fluminense, in Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. That said, to propose reflections on the connection between Brazilian education and neoliberal capitalist expansion in the context of the Military Dictatorship, especially the Education Institute in question. Nova Iguaçu was a region that suffered intense political stability during the Years of Lead, having about 15 mayors from 1964 to 1985. To analyze the Rangel Pestana Education Institute is to seek to understand how such political instability and the repressive apparatus of the Dictatorship were perceived in regions away from major urban centers. To do so, we will dialogue with Daniel Batista, Lidiane Lobo, Olga Paiva who are authors who research the Baixada Fluminense. Also, with Aparecida Santos and Lúcia Neves to highlight the advances and connections of Capital in the Brazilian educational system. |
