The objective of this article is to highlight analyze the insertion of the feminine in the dance tradition of the Majorlândia coconut. The choice of a bibliographical research was made in response to the initial phase of the perception of the object. After this survey, an identification chart of the most relevant works published on the theme was organized. The following analytical units were selected: a) The dance of the coconut in Ceará; b) The dance of the Coco de Roda; c) The feminine in the dance of the Coco de Roda Majorlandia-Ce. In this path it was possible to trace a discussion with Masullo (2015), Farias (2012), Barroso (1983), Castro (2018). Finally, we identified that the Coconut dance, despite being a fisherman's tradition, managed to arrive in the backlands of Ceará rescuing an ancestral tradition. Another important point refers to the feminization process that the Coconut dance has presented in recent times, specifically in Majorlândia-Ce.
