Resumo: | Emotional education is a protective factor of mental health and contributes to human development. Emotions correspond to a fundamental area in human life, since they help decision-making, as well as adaptive responses to different situations. Therefore, training in emotional education was carried out with four meetings, totaling 20 hours, for 12 teachers from an IFCE Campus. The training aimed to prepare teachers to be emotional educators, collaborating in the promotion of psychological well-being in the teacher-student relationship and in the reduction of risk factors for mental illness. As a result, it was observed, through evaluations carried out in each module, the need for continuing education for socio-emotional skills. It is concluded about the importance of the insertion of work with the emotional climate in education and the need to create more spaces for emotional experience, in addition to intellectual development, also preparing teachers to be emotional educators. |

As emoções correspondem a uma área fundamental na vida humana, uma vez que se tornam auxiliam a tomada de decisão, bem como respostas adaptativas perante diversas situações. Por isso, foi realizada uma formação em educação emocional com quatro encontros, totalizando 20 horas, para 12 docentes de um Campus do IFCE. A formação objetivou preparar professores para serem educadores emocionais, colaborando na promoção do bem-estar psicológico na relação professor-aluno e na redução de fatores de risco para adoecimento psíquico. Como resultados, observou-se, por meio de avaliações realizadas em cada módulo, a necessidade de formação continuada para habilidades socioemocionais.
