School museum: an experience of heritage education held in Cariacica/ES

Resumo: This paper aims to report an experience of Heritage Education developed at the School Museum of History and Memory Mara Regina Miranda Martins, located at the Margarete Cruz Pereira School and Science Station in the city of Cariacica-ES, in the perspectives of Critical Heritage Education, defended by Carvalho (2014). The organization of the exhibitions has a collection of donations and tells the historical importance of some objects, revealing the history and memory of traditional populations. The mediation carried out in the exhibitions is carried out by the students of the referred school under the advice of professors in the disciplines of Science, History, Art and Religious Education, with an interactive proposal both in relation to the objects in the exhibitions, and in the participation of visitors in workshops. The experience allowed a connection between the disciplines involved, breaking the paradigms of traditional education.

A organização das exposições dispõe de um acervo de doações e contam a importância histórica de alguns objetos, revelando a história e a memória das populações tradicionais. A mediação realizada nas exposições é realizada pelos estudantes da referida escola sob assessoria de professores regentes das disciplinas de Ciências, História, Arte e Ensino Religioso, com proposta interativa tanto em relação aos objetos das exposições, quanto na participação dos visitantes em oficinas.
