Resumo: | Indigenous culture and its bodily practices linked to games, games and struggles in teacher education provide a critical and reflective look at teaching practice in Physical Education. The subject of Physical Education has ample possibilities to work with the physical, cognitive and mental aspects, providing experiences related to interdisciplinarity and diversification; and where the cultures of indigenous peoples must be embedded in the educational environment. Thus, knowing aspects of indigenous cultures deliberates autonomy to experience them in the educational environment in teacher training. Thus, this study aimed to report the experience resulting from an extension course on Physical Education and indigenous body practices. The course was presented as fundamental, as it provided opportunities for reflection on the indigenous body culture in the teaching practice. Thus, it is concluded that adding knowledge and an awakening to continuing education, expands the learning about ethnic-racial knowledge, promotes Law 11.645 of 2008 which establishes the mandatory theme of Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous History and Culture in the official curriculum of the education network. |
