Resumo: | The term aphrodiasporic cultures” is understood as a cultural code and symbol that expanded in the world through the diaspora, that is, through the forced migration of African peoples. We infer that bodily practices arising from this world-historical fact, such as capoeira and breakdance, are essential in the formal educational path. Therefore, our general objective is to understand the perception of professors at IFCE campus Canindé regarding these cultures. Through this qualitative and quantitative research, which had the participation of 22 teachers and which was carried out during the period from June 7th to 21st, 2021, we found the following results: The low contact of teachers, during initial training, with Aphrodiasporic cultures in general; however, more than 50% of respondents address racial issues in the classroom and perceive capoeira and breakdance as teaching objects, highlighting the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary value of these practices in the school environment. |
