Resumo: | This article aimed to biography Rosângela Botelho Fonteles with emphasis on her training trajectory, considering her primary teaching that took place in public schools in Rio de Janeiro and her teaching started in Rio de Janeiro and concluded in Fortaleza-CE. Having as a type of study the biography, as theoretical support the Cultural History, methodologically the Oral History with collection of sources in free interviews that were recorded, transcribed and textualized, the research developed here brings as results the importance of the biographical studies about the history of the education, since these researches focus on micro contexts, that is, the study of a subject, reaching macro contexts. It provided an understanding that the trajectory of the biographer as an education professional was marked by several stages and challenges that led her to what, according to her, she liked most about being a teacher of literacy. |

It provided an understanding that the trajectory of the biographer as an education professional was marked by several stages and challenges that led her to what, according to her, she liked most about being a teacher of literacy.O presente artigo teve como objetivo biografar Rosângela Botelho Fonteles com destaque em sua trajetória de formação, tendo em vista sua docência primária que ocorreu em escolas da rede pública do Rio de Janeiro e sua docência iniciada no Rio de Janeiro e concluída em Fortaleza-CE. Tendo como tipo de estudo a biografia, como amparo teórico a História Cultural, metodologicamente a História Oral com coleta de fontes em entrevistas livres que foram gravadas, transcritas e textualizadas, a pesquisa aqui desenvolvida traz como resultados a importância dos estudos biográficos acerca da história da educação, uma vez que estas pesquisas se debruçam em contextos micros, ou seja, estudo de um sujeito, com alcance a contextos macros.
