History of Tabuleiro Education: regional aspects of Ceará's education

The research brings contributions to regional research with an emphasis on education. The object is the history of education in the municipality of Tabuleiro do Norte. The perspective is the analysis of the development of education and its consequences at the local level. Researching about Tabuleirense education, as a sample of the Ceará context, I can say that it was developed by people who, far from letting themselves be overwhelmed by the determinants of na era, reversed the situation, seeking, in the midst of so many difficulties, the knowledge necessary for another reading of a different world from the arduous toil of working with the land. Men and women who left their homes, who traveled kilometers on foot or by bicycle, in order to accompany the development of this cultural asset that they preserved so much: education.
