Resumo: | This text is an excerpt from the doctoral thesis that is currently under construction which deals with the education present in the Candomblé initiation ritual. Viewing Candomblé as a religion that was born from the oral tradition and that today is preserved through the same tradition that is taught and maintained in religious temples. Thus, this text has as its theme the African orality as a way of teaching and learning. It can be seen throughout the text that the seed of orality and memory was planted in the diaspora and today it is the teaching tool in Afro-Brazilian religious temples, the oral tradition has resisted, resists and teaches about ancestral African histories and cultures. |
