Resumo: Low birth weight is considered one of the major public health problems, especially in Brazil, due to the impact on infant morbidity and mortality. Prematurity and restriction of intrauterine growth have been identified as the major responsible for this condition. The interrelation of these variables forms a significant picture of risks to the diseases, besides being able to lead to death in the first year of life. Among the proximal determinants that affect stillbirth and neonatal mortality are preterm birth and low birth weight, triggered by intermediate factors, such as: reproductive history, maternal habits, maternal morbidity, frequency and quality of prenatal care , among others. There is evidence that sociodemographic factors have a direct influence on gestational outcomes. However, in Brazil, there are few studies that seek to evaluate the association of a Social Protection Program and the occurrence of low birth weight and prematurity. Therefore, it is extremely important to characterize socioeconomically the gestational women who are participants in the Bolsa Família Program. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effects of the Family Grant Program in the gestational phase on the perinatal outcomes of women from a municipality in the Recôncavo da Bahia. It is a cross-sectional study nested with a prospective, dynamic cohort, conducted by pregnant women and children. The data collection was performed at the prenatal service of the Family Health Units in the municipality of Bahia, Santo Antonio de Jesus, between the years 2011 to 2018. Participated in the study 1,173 pregnant women enrolled in prenatal services of the public network . Thus, to contribute with this knowledge, an article was elaborated with primary and secondary data, resulting from the field research on the issues related to the receipt of the benefit, prematurity and birth weight. The article "Bolsa Família Program and perinatal outcomes of women in a municipality in the Recôncavo da Bahia: Hierarchical Conceptual Model" is characterized as a cross-sectional study, which was adopted the hierarchical model structured in four levels according to their proximal relationships intermediaries of the problems investigated. This study allowed to evaluate the particularities and brought subsidiary contributions to the managers of the local social and health policies with valuable information directed to the maternal and child group.

Submitted by Ricardo Cedraz Duque Moliterno (ricardo.moliterno@uefs.br) on 2020-02-03T21:17:46Z No. of bitstreams: 1 DISSERTAÇÃO_MESTRADO_CINTHIA LISBOA_30_03.pdf: 1892859 bytes, checksum: 9c5863e6656204ca04199984d06d925d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-02-03T21:17:46Z (GMT).
