Fashion Design for children with cancer in the hospital: an investigation about clothes and playfulness

Resumo: This article presents connections between the fields of Design and Health. It addresses the experience of children with cancer in the hospital context in relation to clothing, taken as a possible facilitator in the treatment. The study presents the Piskatoomba collection, that investigates ergonomic and functional aspects, among other design parameters of Fashion Design, focusing on the playfulness of clothing as a potential to minimize the stress experienced by children, created as a strategy for suffering reduction.
