The influence of the repertoire in the creative process of design

Resumo: The design process, in practice, consists of stages in which specific skills are required from the designer. One of the most important is the transformation of the demand (or problem) into design solutions. The creative process is one of the main allies in this task, because it is the moment when the designer must establish connections to reach innovative solutions that are congruent with the proposed context. As a means of promoting such connections, the professional is supposed to use a wide range of diverse knowledge, called repertoire. Therefore, this paper analyzes how the construction of a rich repertoire, connected to design and life experiences, influences the efficiency of the creative process. In order to do so, we proposed a scenario where creativity is stimulated at all times throughout life, allowing the evaluation of how the repertoire construction takes place from the experiences we live.

Uma das mais importantes é a tradução da demanda, ou do problema, em forma de soluções de projeto. O processo criativo é um dos principais aliados nessa tarefa, momento em que o designer deve estabelecer conexões entre conteúdos na busca por soluções inovadoras e coerentes com o contexto proposto. Como forma de promover o estabelecimento de conexões, o profissional deve ser munido de uma ampla bagagem de conhecimentos diversos, denominada repertório. Analisou-se, portanto, como a construção de um repertório rico em conteúdos ligados ao design e às experiências de vida influencia na eficiência do processo criativo.
