Resumo: This work discusses the development of a high-protection surgical mask, intended for professionals at the University Hospital of the State University of Londrina during the Covid-19 pandemic. Through the integration of knowledge between the areas of fashion design and nursing, and by means of an applied research with a qualitative approach, we used the design process to develop the “AZUL-A98” mask, which includes ergonomic, functional, aesthetical and innovative aspects, providing high degrees of sealing, filtration and breathability, for greater user safety.
